Is ‘Fix the Ball’ the same as ‘Spot the Ball’?

Yes, its exactly the same. We use ‘Fix the Ball’ because the name ‘Spot the Ball’ is Trade marked and we own the trade mark for ‘Fix the Ball’. It’s that simple.

Why should I play Fix the Ball instead of online Poker, Roulette, Black jack, Bingo or Lotteries?

First and foremost, by law, Fix the Ball is not considered gambling in the UK as it is a game of skill, so it is run as a prize competition.

Secondly, we don’t do rollovers! Every competition we run on behalf of our partners has a winner because our winners only have to be closest to the center of the ball and someone is always going to be closest!

Online Bingo and Lotteries as well as 99% of all other gambling website games are built around pot luck and the odds of winning the vast majority of them are very low. At last count the odds of winning the Lotto are 54 million to 1. Let’s not even think about the odds for Euromillions!!! For Bingo it really is random numbers coming up generated by computers, so like Lotteries you have no influence over your chances at all. Fix the Ball is entirely different.  Yes, there’s always a bit of luck involved but you pretty much know that your X’s are in the ball park every time because the photo tells you that. Fix the Ball is a mix of a little luck and a little more skill to put your X right on that exact spot to win the prize so its never just down to pot luck. The odds are also far better because our competitions are run to totally exclusive audiences. You can only access our competitions from our partners website or social media!

Who are Fix the Ball Ltd. and why should I trust you?

We have recently concluded a very in depth and extensive 6 month marketing exercise to gauge customer response and demand for our service. The response has been encouraging and we now believe there is a substantial customer base which can be adequately serviced by our product.

We ran a fully functional test competition very early on in order to fine tune the online process for the customer and offline prize delivery procedure for our winners.

Our company operates well within the law and always will. We are registered with Companies House and our Registration and VAT numbers are 568033 and 288401681 respectively. Our competitions are judged by myself, Jeff Brown, as competition promoter, and verified by an independent auditor who review the screencast video and approve (or otherwise) every single competition judging process. The independent auditor ensures that each and every competition is judged within the law and most importantly is as accurate as possible and fair to our players.

All players who entered the competition will receive an email as soon as possible after judging is complete. The email will announce the winner and include a link to The RESULTS page on our website where the judging process video and winner can be viewed.

We will contact the winner on the Monday morning whereupon we will confirm he or she has won and arrange delivery of the Cash Prize within the next day or two.

Our privacy statement explains in detail how all your personal information, which is required to play the game and for us to inform the winner, is held and kept secure at all times. Customer information will never be used, sold or given away to anyone else outside our enterprise unless we are required to do so by law.

We are a close knit team of 4 at present. There’s me, Jeff Brown, I’m the founder and promoter, and there’s Hannah, my daughter who deals with all our customer service and administration. Additionally we have programmer, and graphic artists.

You can play on our site in full confidence that you, as a customer, will be put first, your information will be secure and your cash, if won, will be delivered on time. Guaranteed!

How Many Tickets can I buy?

We currently have a limit of 20 tickets per customer per competition.

How Do I Enter?

Our competitions are simple to enter. You select the number of tickets you want to enter to win the weekly cash prize. The more tickets you buy and play, the cheaper they get. You then play those tickets as crosses (X’s) in our Fix the Ball game. Each cross (X) you click onto the football image photo is one attempt, by you, to mark the center of the ball which has been digitally removed from the photo. If you are the only player that marks the center spot exactly then you win the Cash Prize. If no one has managed to pick the center of the ball exactly then the closest cross to the center wins, making sure that we always have a winner every week. Since someone will always be closest, we will always avoid rollovers.

Do You Use Fix The Ball?

The competition is run as a skill based game and therefore does not qualify as a lottery or a raffle or betting or gambling. You are required to use your skill and judgement to mark the location of the ball after we have digitally removed it from the photo. You do this by looking at the body language of the players in the photo. Fix – the – Ball (also known as Spot – the – Ball) was a very popular competition run by local newspapers usually after Saturdays local football match in the days before computers, it was fun and very popular in the UK. Millions played every week up and down the country.

Happens If More Than One Person Is Equidistant From the Judges Decision?

If 2, or 3, or more winners exactly mark the center of the ball (or are tied closest to it) then whomever has the closest 2nd cross will be judged the winner. If both second crosses are equidistant then it will be the 3rd closest and so on. However, if one of the winners does not have a 2nd or 3rd cross he will automatically be dropped from the knockout stages and awarded a winners runner up prize. It is our policy that those who purchase more tickets should always be favored in the judgement process. So it is advisable to at least buy 3 tickets. The more tickets you have the better your chances of winning will be.

In the unlikely event that there is a tie, for example between 2 or more players that have put 2 or 3 crosses in exactly the same distance from the center of the ball, and neither have any further tickets on which to be judged, they will all be asked to view an alternative Fix-the-Ball image and return one set of coordinates to the promoter by email, whereupon the promoter will determine the eventual outright winner from those coordinates.

Much Is It To Enter and are there any FREE tickets?

Tickets can be bought for as little as 35p and up to £1.00. The more you buy, the cheaper they get and the better your chances of winning will be.

1 Ticket = 1 Cross (X) to play in the fix-the-ball game.

Will I Get A Receipt For My Order?

Once you confirm your order online we will send you an email immediately with your receipt. If it is your first time entering one of our competitions you will also be sent your log in account details with your username and password. Please save these somewhere and keep them safe and secure. Are You Going to Increase the Prize Money in the Future?

With your help we most certainly will. We want to give our players the best chance we can to win the most money every week so we will always be trying to increase the prize money as player numbers grow.

When do Competitions Start and Finish?

Our first competition may be run for one or two weeks and then it will be weekly or fortnightly after that. It depends on the audience size. The competitions will be judged at 11:00 hrs on Monday mornings or every second Monday morning if its a fortnight long competition. The next competition will start at 11:30 hrs on that same Monday morning. Judging will be completed by around 11:30 hrs on that same Monday morning.

So your last chance to enter is before or when you get into work on a Monday or every second Monday morning if it s fortnightly competition!

When are the Results Announced?

We will call the winner on the Monday night or Tuesday morning to confirm the win and arrange delivery of the Cash Prize. Once the winner has sent us a selfie with the big winners cheque we send to him/her and the winning cash has been deposited in the winners account and the winner confirms receipt we will announce the winner by email and include a selfie photo of the winner on the web site RESULTS page. The RESULTS page will also show everyone how many credits they won if they were close enough. They will also be able to see how close their crosses (x entries) were to the real ball itself and to the exact winning coordinates.

We will also make the judging video available after judging is complete and approved by our auditors on the RESULTS page for all players to view.

How will I know if I Win?

When you purchase your tickets for the first time you must create an account so we can store your ticket entry coordinate info for judging and also leave a phone number and email address for us to contact you quickly. If you win, we will call you on Monday morning to confirm. We will need to arrange confirmation of your identity by passport or driving licence photo ID (we need to know you are who you say you are before we hand the cash over to you) and deliver the cash on the same day after we have recived your winners selfie with the big winners branded cheque we will arrange for you.
